The Pryde Group Extends Partnership With 2Pure

Hong Kong, 10 November, 2015 — The Pryde Group has extended its partnership with 2Pure Limited who take over the responsibility for the operation of the NeilPryde high-performance road bike range. 2Pure, a United Kingdom-based bike and accessory distribution company has been NeilPryde’s UK distribution partner since 2013.

The Pryde Group started the bike business in 2010, leveraging its intimate knowledge of carbon composites and aerodynamics into a fast-growing road cycling industry. The original bikes were designed in association with BMW DesignworksUSA, winning a number of design awards and quickly penetrating markets such as Japan, the UK and USA.

2Pure are fully immersed in one of the world’s largest and most active cycling markets. They are bike experts, headed by George Bowie, an industry veteran.

This partnership is really about merging design and engineering expertise with industry experience in order to expand NeilPryde’s market share in key geographical areas.

“We feel that 2Pure are the perfect partner to ensure future success of the NeilPryde bike business,” said Patrick Pender, Pryde Group Managing Director. “Their vision is very much aligned with NeilPryde brand values and I am looking forward to seeing George and the team take bikes to another level.”

A newly created entity named NP Cycle Limited will take on the existing NeilPryde bike team, headed by Michael Rice, ensuring smooth transition with no interruption to business. The team will continue to be based within the Pryde Group offices in Hong Kong and will be strengthened and supported by 2Pure’s marketing and sales assets in the UK.

“Through this partnership we know that the good work done over the past five years will continue and flourish, while we focus on our core sports and planned business extensions,” continued Mr. Pender. “We will work closely with NP Cycle and give them access to our design and engineering resource as needed. Our medium term plan is to leverage our presence in the cycling market and the distribution structure developed to further expand the NeilPryde product portfolio.”
